Mark started out as an Insurance Broker in 2000. Young, enthusiastic, and driven by a desire for excellence Mark quickly built up an enviable knowledge base, and client base. The real secret to Mark‘s success though, is less about his own personal desire for excellence and more about wanting that excellence for others. Wanting what’s best for people means helping them achieve their aspirations; for themselves, their family, their business, and their lifestyle.

Mark has developed the Cosgroves business model to ensure the financial futures of his clients are best protected by insurance, and that their life aspirations can continue, even if it throws them a curve ball like ill health, an accident, or even death. The difference it makes when people have the right cover in place, when it‘s needed most – that’s the real game-changer. It provides the opportunity to embrace life’s challenges without a distracting financial burden; to focus on what matters most, which invariably is people.

Outside of work Mark packs in quality time with his family, including boating in the summer months, sideline supporter of his daughters‘ sports, and serious family-fun destination holidays. In between everything else, it’s hands-on in the lifestyle block, and a game of golf whenever the stars align (which isn’t often enough!).

Richie Knight

On the ball and accurate – Richie knows mortgages inside out. Previously a Residential Lending Specialist for major New Zealand banks, his working knowledge of complex lending strategies is an asset to the Cosgrove team. It’s this expertise, together with his professional can-do attitude that gives Cosgroves clients the edge.

Richie assists our clients to plan and achieve their financial goals through well-structured mortgage solutions. From first home buyers, to those who are refinancing, building, refixing, or topping up a mortgage; Richie helps identify ways to repay it faster, save money, and increase your asset base. Giving independent advice is definitely his strong suit, as is getting to know each client personally. He enjoys keeping in touch throughout the many life-stages of your lending needs.

Outside of work Richie‘s a tireless sports fan – cycling the hills and playing cricket. He delights in the company of his two little girls, family and friends; and when there’s time he likes to get stuck into the garden.

She is now starting her new life and new career in NZ with Cosgroves. Sandra has a keen eye for detail and is happy to help with any questions you might have about your policy application or reviews. Sandra provides an efficient and customer focused service to our advisers and clients alike.

Sandra likes to spend her weekends exploring the amazing sights and sounds of the South Island and is an avid Rugby fan supporting the All Blacks and Crusaders of course!

Nicky is a very efficient administrator. She has a background of 12 years in loss adjusting administration and supports the team in ensuring our clients insurance and mortgage needs are met. Nicky can help you with your mortgage enquiries and assist with any insurance reviews.

Nicky is Rangiora born and bred and enjoys spending time with her family and getting out and about walking our local tracks, a favourite being Mount Grey. Nicky has served on the Ashley School Board as secretary for a number of years and enjoys participating in her local school community.
